Title: Redwood Day Social Worker

Proposed Salary: $40,000

Hours: 20 hours a week

Start Date: July 1, 2024

Paid Time Off: Thirty-five (35) days paid time off (PTO) across the school calendar (school breaks/holidays) and five (5) flexible days

Responsibilities include:

• Promoting the general well-being of students
• Working with outside agencies to provide support to families
• Developing and providing crisis intervention strategies to improve student success
• Working to maximize coping skills for students in difficult situations
• Obtain and use student data to target the SEL needs of students (ILP/IEP goals)
• Participate in ongoing collaboration with teaching teams and building administration to meet the needs of students
• Maintain a safe and warm learning environment
• Effectively communicate with parents
• Implement Extended School Year Hours July-August 2024

Skills & Competencies:

• Licensed Social Worker (ISBE Certified)
• Working knowledge of cognitive and emotional learning differences
• Dedicated professional with experience using strategies to support academic and social emotional success
• Committed individual with experience developing and implementing individualized goals and behavior plans
• Ability to collaborate professionally and effectively with staff and parents
• Strong oral and written expression skills
• IEP/ILP Expertise

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $40,000.00 per year
