RedWire is Hiring a HR Admin. Jr. - HR3 - #1043 Near Tallahassee, FL

We are looking for a Human Resources Junior Administrator to join our team!

Position Summary:

This position assists the Human Resources Administrator (HRA) with the recruitment, screening, selection and onboarding processes. The Human Resources Junior Assistant (HR Jr. Asst.) performs administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of Redwire’s Human Resources Department.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Provides clerical support to the HR Department.
  • May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
  • Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
  • Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
  • Assist with day to day operations of HR functions and duties such staffing, recruitment, training, employee relations, performance, policy and procedure, and employee engagement.
  • Assist HR Administrator with policy formulation and dissemination.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records by performing periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Acts as a liaison between the organization and external vendors and/or customers.
  • Conducts and/or assists with new hire orientation, employee training, and etc.
  • Assists with special projects; and planning/execution of special events such as Company-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must be comfortable working with highly sensitive and confidential information and matters.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Keen sense of professionalism balanced with a good sense of humor.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrates interest in human resources and recruiting.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Personnel and Human Resources — Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
  • Administrative — Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, transcription, designing forms, and workplace terminology.
  • Critical Thinking – Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems; this position interacts with many company departments, thereby requiring an attitude that fosters a teamwork approach to problem-solving.

  • Attention to Detail — Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

This position reports to the HRA. Management reserves the right to make changes to this job description as deemed necessary.
