Red Ventures is Hiring a Product Designer | Bankrate Near Charlotte, NC

Bankrate is seeking an experienced Product Designer and critical thinker to join our growing Creative Team. You'll play an instrumental role in developing core consumer-facing products for a large and diverse audience. You will join the Bankrate team in creating user-centered digital experiences that help people make smarter financial decisions. This role calls for a passionate individual who is highly skilled in creative problem solving, user-centered design processes, and UI design.

The right candidate for this role will be highly-organized and collaborative, with a passion for solving problems cross-functionally. You'll wear many hats on our multi-functional Creative team, incorporating user-centered copywriting and UX research into the design solutions you craft. But you won't do it alone — you'll have a collaborative cross-disciplinary team of designers, engineers, SEO and data analysts to support you.

Originally founded in 1976 as the Bank Rate Monitor, Bankrate offers a number of free resources like calculators, comparison tools, and award-winning editorial content to empower our users to take command of their finances — and control of their lives. It's why over 100 million people put their trust in us every year. Join our mission of helping people find a healthier relationship with money.

This role will be based in our Charlotte, NC office on a hybrid schedule.

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver highly-polished visual designs and extend existing design systems
  • Think systematically to optimize UX/UI patterns for ease of use
  • Develop subject-matter expertise, understand user problems, business goals, how competitors solve them, and where gaps exist
  • Partner with cross-functional peers and leads to oversee an experience from concept to handoff to launch
  • Embrace tooling and collaboration to craft and implement high-performing UX copy in (and beyond) your designs
  • Collaborate with marketing and analyst teams to utilize UX research insights and feedback across businesses and through iteration
  • Effectively balance user needs and business goals
  • Assist and support teammates through collaboration, critique and feedback
  • Build prototypes to validate your designs, then iterate and innovate based on data and findings.
  • Be autonomous, crave accountability and take responsibility for every detail, every step of the way

What We're Looking For:

  • 2 years designing consumer-focused tech across various platforms (web, mobile, apps, etc)
  • You have a killer portfolio that demonstrates a highly-polished visual design sense, a clean command over interaction design, typography and usability, as well as creative strategy
  • You're fluent in Figma, prototyping, and working with design systems
  • You're a strong communicator and collaborator who is inspired to deliver great work and bring a strategy to life
  • You are always looking to grow your abilities through feedback and collaboration
  • You are proactive with strong time-management skills, taking initiative for what needs to be done rather than waiting for instructions
  • You enjoy staying flexible and adaptable in a fast-changing environment
  • You love what you do, try to have fun every day and have a great sense of humor

Compensation

  • Cash Compensation Range: $70,000-$110,000
    • Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.

Additionally, the following benefits are provided by Red Ventures, subject to eligibility requirements.

  • Employee Assistance Program
