Duties (NOT ALL INCLUSIVE):
Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.
Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data
Performs basic accounting functions on a routine basis: payroll processing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash forecasting, account reconciliations
Manages timely and frequent reconciliation and communication with outside vendors
Manages timely and accurate month-end close processes and reporting
Possesses strong knowledge of and practice strict adherence to GAAP
Supports the Human Resources function (onboarding, termination, benefits and compliance)
Supports year-end audit (gathering of documents/support)
Assist in development and implementation of financial systems and a strong control environment
Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential
Serve as account administrator for key systems (slack, box, etc)
Manage key contracts and leases (maintain summary, expirations, etc)
Other duties as assigned or required
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or its' equivalent from an accredited institution to include two (2) years' experience in the position of an Accountant or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance or related field and a minimum of three years accounting in a large organization.
Active CPA License

Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to prepare and maintain accurate and complete financial records and reports.
Familiarity with accounting software and programs.
Considerable knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), the territorial code laws, accounting manual and financial policies and procedures.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to exercise sound judgment on bookkeeping and related problems in accordance with instructions, and bookkeeping procedure.
Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing to a diverse group of people.
Ability to use modern office methods, techniques and equipment including software, and any current Microsoft Office software programs.
Ability to handle sensitive matters on a confidential basis.
Skilled in working under pressure of deadlines, maintaining a professional demeanor during stressful situations, and establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with employees, officials, other agencies and the general public.
Ability to multi-task
Ability to speak and write clearly and concisely.
Must have strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude.
General ledger and month end close experience is a plus.
