The Business Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of operational policies and procedures related to various business functions such as budgeting, financial reporting, accounts payable, purchasing, payroll, inventory, and insurance. They are also responsible for providing ongoing direction and coordination to the Purchasing Department. Additionally, the Business Manager plays a critical role in facilitating collaboration with corporate and internal senior management groups to ensure the financial performance and budget priorities of the hospital are met.

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily business functions by applying hospital and corporate policies and accounting principles.
• Provide direct supervision and motivate staff to ensure service delivery aligns with Corporate guidelines.

• Demonstrate knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC) standards as they relate to the business office area.
• Ensure compliance with all related resource requirements.
• Effectively communicate with relevant stakeholders regarding business-related matters.

Education

• Bachelors degree in business administration

Experience

• Five years experience in a responsible financial position involving budget preparation and control and/or administration of government contracts, two years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
• Masters degree in business or public administration may substitute for one year of the required non-supervisory experience.
