Position Overview
The Project Superintendent will handle the on-site management of commercial and industrial electrical projects. They will provide daily supervision of field staff, monitor the site for quality, cleanliness and safety. Additionally, they will work with the Project Manager to perform regular meetings and updates with the client.
Responsibilities
· Oversee the onsite activities and ensure that projects are within the specified budget, on schedule, and adhere to the drawings and specifications.
· Manage and coordinate the overall schedule, weekly look ahead, and day to day schedules of the field staff and subcontractors.
· Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite.
· Communicate with both management and the client to ensure that project goals, cost, schedule, and quality are achieved
· Maintain good subcontractor relationships. Coordinate with their schedules, manage their questions, and limit change orders.
· Oversee all project punch list generation and completion
· As needed, self-perform elements of a project to keep it on schedule or under budget
Necessary Skills and Expertise
· At least 5 years of experience in the commercial/industrial electrical field
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Ability to manage others and work independently in a demanding, fast-paced
environment; and must have a comfort for change
· Strong management skills, ability to manage multiple projects, and strong analytical
and problem-solving skills
· OSHA 10 hour and other safety training a bonus
· Valid driver’s license with good driving record
