POSITION SUMMARY:
The Cost Estimator is responsible for managing the Request for Proposal (RFP) process through the Procurement Shared Services Department (SSPD) in accordance with the Company’s Policies and Procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage the RFP process while considering factors such as total cost of ownership (TCO) to the Company, quality of product/service, commercial risk, suppliers and subcontractors, and any added value to the Company
• Coordinate and lead key milestone events such as site visits, pre-bid conference calls, clarification meetings and sealed bid openings
• Develop comprehensive bid analyses (i.e. leveling) and use such analyses to lead negotiations with vendors
• Draft contract documentation based on results of the RFP
• Review scopes of work, plans, and specifications for accuracy and suggest value engineering cost reduction opportunities for approval by the business unit stakeholders
• Establish quality relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders in order to manage an effective procurement process
• Provide procurement support for residential, commercial and design development departments as needed
• Assist with special projects and other duties assigned by the Director of Procurement or Ownership

Base salary range: $102,000-112,000
