The Banquet Captain will work with the Banquet Manager to schedule banquets, parties, etc. and ensure consistent and efficient service to all banquet guests.

Essential Responsibilities : 1. Provide professional and courteous service at all times. 2. Ensure timely set-up of all function rooms.

3. Ensure that proper inventory levels are maintained to accommodate all events. 4. Maintain banquet and AV equipment as needed.

5. Requisition the required banquet help and provide instructions on work expectations for banquet and bar servers, well in advance of events.

6. Meet with Banquet Manager to determine last minute changes and discuss various set-up arrangements. 7. Ensure proper service to clients during the banquet.

8. Ensures proper cleaning of all equipment after function is completed. 9. Work with Banquet Manager to schedule banquets, parties, etc.

10. May assist personnel in setting up a function room to the desired specification set forth by the Catering / Sales Department.

To do this kind of work, you must be able to :

• Read and interpret business records and statistical reports.

• Understand the government regulations covering business operation.
