The Pool Manager is responsible for managing and directing all facets of the pool area and ensuring consistent and thoughtful service. This position works hand in hand with many departments in the hotel and therefore must show efficiency, respect, friendliness, professionalism, teamwork, knowledge, patience, awareness, compassion, courtesy and initiative. Understanding the importance of enabling uplifting experiences for our guests is key to this position. This individual is a self-starter, creative, engaging and high energy.

A little bit about your day:

Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverages,every day is different, but your essential functions will include the following:

  • Assist in overseeing all facets of the pool area while ensuring consistent and thoughtful service.
  • Plan, organize, control and direct the work of employees while ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all pool colleagues to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met
  • Ensure Quality of Food and Beverage is up to company standards
  • Ensure Grooming Standards are met by the team on a daily basis
  • The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests
  • The Pool manager will be a engaging team player able to assist the operations where needed in the various F&B Outlets
  • The Pool Manager will ensure the facility is in great physical condition and make improvements and recommendations for corrections as needed
  • Performs all reasonable duties as instructed by executive leadership
  • Understand completely all programs, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs.
  • Offer positive solutions to problems or issues and be a voice that is part of the decision making team.

What we need from you:

  • 2 years’ experience in luxury hotel operations
  • Forbes experience preferred
  • Requires a working knowledge of division operations
  • Knowledge of food & beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting.
  • This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays

What you can expect from us:

The annual pay range for this role is $70,000.00 to $80,000.00. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed at Regent Santa Monica Beach. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. A team member’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.

Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, or any other form of compensation that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
