RE/MAX Holdings, Inc. is Hiring a Supervisor, Accounting Operations Near Denver, CO

The purpose of this position is to ensure complex revenue and other transactions are recorded, documented, reviewed and supported in a timely manner and in accordance with the applicable accounting guidance and Company policies. Additionally, all SEC public company controls must be adhered to. This person will develop working relationships with cross-functional partners and various levels of management.

Job Duties

  • Obtain information from internal and external sources to record accounting transactions in the general ledger, including, but not limited to, complex revenue recognition transactions
  • Lead and Mentor and provide guidance to accounting staff team members, assisting with complex accounting issues and professional development, which involves reviewing/approving their journal entries.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Assist in the analysis of the Company’s allowance for accounts receivable and prepare the related journal entries and reconciliations
  • Prepare all audit work papers and assist the auditors as needed
  • Assist with development and implementation of internal controls, policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with internal control
    policies in a SOX environment.
  • Provide variance analysis and other month-end financial information to various departments and present to upper level management.
  • Recognize and initiate process improvements
  • Other Duties as assigned
Preferred Education Requirements
  • Accounting degree required

Years of Experience

  • 5 Years, preferably with public company experience
Years of Management Experience
  • No Experience Needed

Preferred Licensing, Certifications and Skill

  • Preferred CPA, and/or Public Accounting experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, etc)

Salary Range

$76,500 - $100,000

Actual compensation offered to candidate will be finalized at offer and may be above or below the posted range due to skill level, experience, industry specific knowledge, education/certifications, or geographic location. The offer rate represents one component of the RE/MAX Holdings total compensation package. Employees will also receive a number of benefits as listed below. Other compensation for this position may include bonus eligibility.
