About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our evolving Accounting and Finance team located in the heart of Denver.

You’re a perfect fit for this role if you have strong points of view about how the finance function can drive financial performance. You have a desire to piece together different pieces of the puzzle that leads to business success. You are passionate about diving into business operations and learning the ins and outs of how the business succeeds. You have experience in consolidated financial reporting, general ledger ownership, payroll processes, forecasting & budgeting, internal controls, and processes and are tuned into the key trends in accounting.

This is a HYBRID position located just north of Downtown Denver. We will only consider candidates currently in the Denver Metropolitan and surrounding areas and only US citizens or naturalized candidates. We will not offer relocation assistance nor negotiate the hybrid aspect of this role. It is a requirement to be in the office a minimum of two days per week, or more as the role or management requires.

Role Responsibilities

Payroll Processing and ownership of the month-end close process.

Proactive application of accounting and financial data to organizational goals.

Prepare and manage the preparation of all internal and external financial reporting.

Manage our finance & accounting tools stack and ensure all processes are as efficient and effective.

Assist with budgeting forecasting and monitoring to actuals.

Develop financial policies and procedures for operational efficiency.

Assist in developing operational initiatives to achieve financial goals.

Lead cash flow forecasting and manage the movement of cash to utilize debt facilities strategically.

Performing the company’s financial audits and external reporting for financial institutions.

Build rapport with, and then work closely with key team stakeholders.

Support the CFO with key research, process design work, feedback, ideas, or other special projects.

Solve real business problems with creative, critical & strategic thinking.

Manage staff accountant and provide support in their development.

Requirements for the role

Demonstrated experience with leading high-performing teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Bachelor’s Degree required (Accounting or Finance).

Minimum of five (5) years in high-growth organizations in a strategic financial role.

Minimum of 1 year in public accounting is highly preferred.

Experience working in one or more high-output organizations. Start-up experience is a plus.

Experience with multiple tools and the integration of data for effective reporting

Ability to articulate clear points of view about financials and communicate them to operational leads.

Strong attention to detail and organized work papers.

Clear, clean, confident communication, both written and verbal.

Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy.

Proficiency with Excel and modeling in Excel.
