RC Engineering and Construction Management is Hiring a Tank Waste Operations Support Near Richland, WA

: Tank Waste Operations Technical Support
Position is located in Richland, WA
This position will be responsible for providing technical support for the Assistant Manager for Tank Waste Operations (AMTWO).
Responsibilities
Complete technical document reviews and preparation in support of Tank Farms (TF) and 222-S capital projects, including but not limited to project management plans, hazard analysis reports, quality assurance plans, environmental regulatory plans, and design documentation and reports.
Provide support to AMTWO by completing review of and/or prepare capital project critical decision documents, and support preparation for independent external reviews.
Utilize project management skills in support of AMTWO to review integrated operational schedule(s) and assess schedule impacts based on emerging issues.
Conduct oversight, as assigned, of conceptual, preliminary, and final design activities; oversight of procurement activities, oversight of field construction of projects, facilities, and systems, contractor programs and implementation in support of readiness activities.
Brief AMTWO line management on oversight results, technical issues, options for resolution, and facilitate decision-making.
Support the coordination of contractor performance evaluation to include Performance Evaluation and Measurement Plan development, quarterly data calls, and Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System evaluations.
Support TF contract transition actions and contract closeout activities including developing discrete schedule of tasks and deliverables, as assigned.
Support AMTWO in developing statements of work to support the tank farms mission, as assigned.
Support implementation of organizational strategies and work closely with the AMTWO management team to assure oversight is appropriately planned and executed to support AMTWO operations. Utilize specialized project management and business operations experience to conduct tasks with minimal supervision.
Produce assessments and reports on a weekly or as-needed basis. Document and review oversight results within the Integrated Contractor Assurance (iCAS) database.
Participate in weekly coordination meetings
Participate in meetings with senior management team as required
Participate on Integrated Project Teams
Qualifications
Education – BS/BA degree in engineering or physical science.
Experience – Ten (10) years of relevant experience.
Specialized experience in Hanford Site contract acquisitions, contract transitions, project/program management, records management, procedure development, and issues management (preferably iCAS).
Extensive business experience in applying analysis techniques, performing various types of reviews, and developing process improvements.
Capable of reading, interpreting, and understanding DOE policies and procedures.
Capable of reading, interpreting, and understanding DOE program and project management practices, policies, and procedures.
Expert writing skills, proven experience in supporting programs and projects with analysis, tracking, monitoring, assessment, review and coordination.
Excellent verbal and communications skills.
A knowledge of Microsoft (MS) 365 Word, PowerPoint, TEAMS and/or other MS Office tools.
Working level knowledge of Hanford Site mission, activities and priorities. (preferred)
Identification of any conflicts, potential conflicts, or perceived conflicts of interest with any Hanford Site contractors.
Compliance with site specific safety and security requirements, including badging and office protocols.
Additional Information
Salary range is $105,000-$170,000/yr depending on qualifications. Benefits include paid vacation, medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD/Life, and 401k matching.
