Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to load and unload materials, move products within the warehouse, and perform various warehouse tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and receiving, possess mechanical knowledge, and be familiar with warehouse management systems.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift to safely load and unload materials from trucks or containers
- Move products within the warehouse using a forklift or other equipment
- Use a warehouse management system to track inventory and locate products
- Perform routine maintenance on forklifts and other equipment
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Forklift Operator or similar role
- Valid forklift certification/license
- Proficient in operating various types of forklifts including clamp trucks and order pickers
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform basic math calculations
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
