Ray Moles Farms, Inc. is Hiring a HR/Accounting Assistant Near Fresno, CA

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a HR/Payroll Assistant. As a HR/Payroll Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the HR/Payroll department in various administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of HR/Payroll processes.

Duties:

HR:

  • Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations
  • Assist with recruitment efforts, including posting job openings and scheduling interviews
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding process, including conducting orientations and processing paperwork
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned
  • Provide support in maintaining and organizing employee records and files
  • Support with property management such as; inspections, collection/tracking of rent, and obtaining maintenance requests.

Accounts Payable:

  • Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
  • Analyzing workflow processes
  • Ensure bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner
  • Process due invoices for payments

Accounts Receivable:

  • Maintaining bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets and updating information as needed
  • Communicating with previous clients and customers to request payment and arrange payment plans
  • Collecting payments from customers and accurately recording them in the system
  • Creating reports and balance sheets that document overall profits and losses
  • Updating client accounts based on payment or contact information

Payroll (assist in the following)

  • Pays employees by calculating pay and deductions and issuing checks.
  • Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data into the payroll system, as well as retrieving data when necessary.
  • Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
  • Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
  • Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer’s social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments.
  • Communicates payroll deductions to retirement administrators for 401(k) plans and other pre-taxation savings plans.
  • Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information and interacting with HR or Controller based on issue.
  • Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures, and reporting needed changes.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.

  • Strong understanding of financial concepts related to payroll, benefits administration, and account reconciliation
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Bilingual
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
