Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital is Hiring an IT Security Analyst Near Maryland, MO

Ranken Jordan is the country's first pediatric bridge hospital. Inpatients and outpatients with complex medical conditions, injuries and illnesses come to our one-of-a-kind facility from throughout the region to get better faster and prepare for the transition back to home.

  • Founded in 1941 by Mary Ranken Jordan who implored her staff to "...consider the children, first, in all that we do." These words still guide every employee, every day.
  • Our guiding mission is to help kids and their families' transition from hospital to home. That means we practice world-class pediatric medicine to treat the symptoms but we also train parents and caregivers to provide a high-level of care at home so patients continue to progress after discharge
  • "Care Beyond the Bedside" means that our kids receive their therapies and rehab away from their rooms and out of their beds as much as 70% of the day. The rest of the time, they are playing just being kids in our state of the art facility designed to inspire children!

JOB SUMMARY:

To maintain and operate Ranken Jordan's cybersecurity systems and controls. Analyze threats and provide recommendations for controls and policies and to reduce risk of business impact and improve cybersecurity posture.

This position is an in office role. Must be able to be onsite in Maryland Heights, Missouri.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and maintain cybersecurity controls, systems, and reports.
  • Conduct research and stay current on latest issues affecting healthcare cybersecurity. Raise alerts or make recommendations to protect the organization from new threats.
  • Manage organization internal cybersecurity policies and training.
  • Investigate potential security risks and breaches. Engage process partners as required.
  • Follow standard processes and procedures, making and implementing recommendations for improvement.
  • Know the mission and values of Ranken Jordan and in accordance, always maintain appropriate professional behavior.
  • Always respect and maintain confidentiality of information.

CYBERSECURITY SYSTEMS MONITORING AND PROCESSING (50%)

  • Monitor cybersecurity controls and systems alerts and reports for unusual activities in premise and cloud environments.
  • Investigate security alerts and potential breaches. Work with external vendors for mitigation and remediation.
  • Run routine scans and audits to confirm environmental security status.
  • work with IT Director to maintain proper cybersecurity controls and communications with the organization.
  • Maintain vigilance on industry documentation and notifications for threats or control improvements.
  • Perform problem analysis to resolve system or application issues.

USER AND OPERATIONS SUPPORT (25%)

  • Provide general IT helpdesk support in cooperation with the rest of the IT operations team.
  • Manage and support both wired and wireless devices, workstations, laptops, phones, and tablets.
  • Provide it project support, implementation, and direction as assigned.
  • Provide on call after hours support as part of scheduled rotation.

PLANNING AND IMPROVEMENT (25%)

  • Use system procedures (including working with end-users) to determine hardware, software, or systems specifications needed by Ranken Jordan.
  • Propose various alternative solutions meeting the business and technical requirements.
  • Expand or modify systems to serve new purposes or improve workflow.
  • Look for patterns, identify root causes, and propose solutions to reoccurring problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or related field preferred.
  • Cybersecurity certifications required - CISSP, CISA, Security or similar.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a cybersecurity role required
  • Experience with Microsoft365, including Defender and Entra tools required.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and documentation skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and quickly master new technologies.
  • Ability to work independently, self-starter, and complete projects with minimal supervision.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

These include stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, grasping, pulling, pushing, standing, carrying, and ability to lift and move up to 45 lbs on a regular basis.
