Description

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations, engineering project management, and manufacturing process improvement.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following)

  • Act as support specialist for an operational area ensuring equipment vitality; maintain working knowledge of area’s equipment; in addition to developing and maintaining relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers specific to area.
  • Analyze and improve production processes to increase speeds, reduce scrap, develop standard work, and maximize efficiencies.
  • Assist in the establishment, analysis, and submission of yearly departmental budgets.
  • Confirm system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods.
  • Develop solutions for new and existing products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators.
  • Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment and responsible for coordinating the fabrication, construction, and installation of components.
  • Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Coordinating with maintenance to ensure accurate and effective repair services.
  • Responsible for cross-departmental project management. Capable of working with stakeholders and area owners to lead projects.
  • Display and promote company values (ASPIRE: Attitude, Safety, Passion, Integrity, Relationship, and Evolve).
  • Firm understanding and compliance with company’s Good Manufacturing Practices and Safe Practices.
  • Regular attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor of Science and Engineering required.
  • 3 years’ experience in a relatable field preferred.
  • Experience with business process improvement teams and initiatives required.
  • Experience with projects, product analysis, and ROI analysis required.
  • Experience with standard lean and six sigma tools is required.
  • Technical writing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience with preventative maintenance programs preferred.
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical processes required.
  • Knowledge of GMP’s, OSHA rules and regulations preferred.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing work cells and facility design preferred.
