GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
RW Hartnett company (www.rwhartnett.com) seeks a versatile and proactive individual to join our team as Production Generalist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including polishing, material handling, pickups, deliveries, crating for shipment, general and basic facility maintenance, and housekeeping duties within our assembly shop. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES

Uphold the RW Hartnett Mission and Vision.
Polishing
Perform polishing tasks by utilizing appropriate tools and techniques on metal and other materials to ensure a smooth and flawless finish.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of polishing equipment and work area.
Material Handling
Assist in the movement and handling of materials within the assembly shop.
Ensure proper storage and organization of materials to optimize workflow efficiency.
Assist with the loading and unloading of pickup and delivery vehicles.
Safely transport materials and products to designated locations.
Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules and ensure timely arrivals and departures.
Prepare and assemble crates for shipping finished products to ensure products are securely packaged and protected for transport.
Label crates accurately and maintain proper documentation for shipments.
Facility Maintenance and Housekeeping
Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery.
Conduct basic maintenance tasks related to the facility such as light bulb replacement, minor repairs, and upkeep of common areas.
Identify and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Sweep, mop, and remove debris from floors and work areas to maintain cleanliness throughout the shop.
Dispose of waste and recyclable materials in accordance with company policies and procedures.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be comfortable driving company van and truck
Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed.
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
