Role & Responsibilities
Our office is seeking a candidate to fill our Office Manager/Accounting & Bookkeeping clerk for a small local construction company. Our ideal candidate has a strong comprehension of accounting, strong organizational skills, good written and verbal communication skills, a pleasant demeanor and professional appearance.
Job Requirements
Experience using Quickbooks Online with ability to prepare and review client and company transactions, at least 2 yrs experience preferred.
Ability/Knowledge to produce in-house financial account reconciliation limited to cash, A/R, A/P
Prepare client invoices and payments for weekly review with business owner
Compile and review payroll for submission to 3rd party payroll processing firm, ability to process "certified" payroll through 3rd party websites.
Prepare & review month end, quarter end, closing process applicable to each clients needs including the preparation and review of supporting schedules, reconciliation & analysis
Manage client relationships where required
Perform bookkeeping and general ledger functions.
Collection and providing receipts for rent payments from a few building tenants.
Other miscellaneous office duties as needed or required by business owner
Qualifications and Education
Associates Degree in accounting preferred or a minimum of 2 years experience as an accounting/bookkeeping clerk, construction knowledge a plus but not necessary
Punctual with reliable transportation, strong communication skills
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
Understanding of MS Office, Excel, and Quickbooks Online software
Attention to detail and accuracy, strong organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills
Problem solver and leader with ability for decision making when needed
Bi-Lingual a plus but not necessary
