Production Planner

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible to ensure a constant flow of materials with no stock outs and materials are within assigned inventory levels.
• Calculate Min and Max inventory levels and determine reorder points (ROP) to ensure proper replenishment of materials.
• Develop PFEP material strategy for raw, WIP, and finished goods (plan for every part).
• Daily monitor material levels, production demand, and identify shortages.
• Utilize visual management to trigger purchasing and manufacturing orders for raw materials, WIP, and Finished goods.
• Provide manufacturing schedule to supervisors to ensure part replenishment.
• Conduct cycle counts throughout the facility to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Run demand analysis quarterly to define inventory runners, repeaters, and strangers.
• Provide PFEP plans to Industrial Engineers and work cross-functionally to install assembly line flow racking, two bin systems, and kitting for assembly lines.
• Establish standardized work procedures to sustain inventory analysis, Kanban’s, milk runs, shipping, and receiving.
• Conduct inventory adjustments in SAGE MRP system for MRB reports, discrepancies, service, and warranty transfers.
• Conduct BOM audits to ensure inventory movement within SAGE MRP system is accurate.
• Maintain bin locations on shop floor to ensure accurate inventory.
• Maintain all housekeeping and safety standards and training.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years’ Experience with Mid to High Volume Low Mix Assembly Lines.
• 2-5 years’ Experience with Lean Materials Flow or Lean Warehousing.
• Positive attitude with the ability to get results cross-functionally.
• Advanced Experience with Excel is required.
• Advanced Experience with ERP systems.
• Experience with Sage 300 is a plus.
