Summary
The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing various aspects of creative projects, ensuring successful planning, execution, and delivery. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet quality standards. The Program Manager will also be responsible for budget management, risk assessment, and fostering effective communication within the project team.Core Capabilities
- Project Planning
- Develop comprehensive project plans outlining timelines, tasks, and resource requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
- Team Management
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring everyone understands their roles and responsibilities
- Foster a collaborative and communicative team environment
- Conduct regular team meetings to review project progress and address any issues
- Budget Management
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently
- Monitor project expenses and implement cost-control measures when necessary
- Client and Stakeholder Communication
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders
- Provide regular project updates and ensure client satisfaction
- Address client feedback and incorporate changes as needed
- Quality Assurance
- Establish and enforce quality standards for creative projects
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure deliverables meet specified criteria
- Implement improvements based on feedback and lessons learned
- Timeline Management
- Monitor project timelines and milestones, ensuring adherence to deadlines
- Identify potential delays and proactively address issues to keep the project on track
- Resource Allocation
- Work closely with resource managers to allocate and optimize project resources
- Ensure that team members have the necessary tools and support to meet project goals
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting notes
- Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders and leadership
- Manage burn reports
Academic/Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in project management, business, communications, or a related field
Required Skills/Experience
- Proven experience as a Program Manager in the agency industry
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient in project management tools and software
- Knowledge of creative production processes and workflows
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
Preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Familiarity with design production software and tools
- Experience working in a creative or agency environment
