Cheer Coach Position - Contracted ( less than 40 hours per week with hours to be determined)
The role of the Cheerleading Coach is to teach the cheerleading squad to promote school spirit and encouragement of athletic teams. Ideally, this person would be someone who can coach our young women and men in a highly competitive sport yet help them keep a balance in all aspects of their lives, socially, mentally and physically.
A cheerleader promotes school spirit, school pride and encourages members of the athletic teams. Their involvement and enthusiasm in the QCISD community helps other students feel a part of the community. Promoting positive teamwork, positive interactions amongst teammates, modeling sportsmanship and fan involvement at games and pep rallies are viewed as important aspects of being a cheerleader.
The Head Cheerleading Coach reports directly to the High School Principal. This position requires the coach to have CCP certification, CPR/First Aid certification and all other certifications of the UIL.

High School cheer experience is highly preferred.
