Job Summary

The Software Engineering Director takes ultimate accountability for the software products that are being created, integrated and implemented by Quantum Health within their solution domain. This position provides leadership guidance to Engineering Managers, Solutions Architects, Technical Leads and Scrum Masters in execution of technology solutions, and the support of production systems providing critical business functions. The teams that the Software Engineering Director oversees will be full stack teams incorporating the full delivery life cycle to provide innovative solutions for the business within their domain. This position will also be expected to work across other solution centers to ensure strategic alignment of the solutions being provided. Software Engineering Directors are expected to inspire teams to work towards a vision, drive consistently high-level execution, and lead leaders within Quantum’s IT department.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technology or related field or equivalent experience, Masters preferred
• Strong leadership skills developed with a minimum 8 years' experience leading development teams
• High degree of technical competency, ability to learn new technology quickly, aptitude for details and ability to make both strategic and tactical decisions
• Ability to analyze and estimate needed development resource capacity needed both with a current state focus and longer term roadmap view in mind
• Ability to effectively work with ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to inspire other leaders towards a vision, set strategic direction, and be accountable for mission critical systems that support our strategic pillars.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, including influencing and ability to encourage innovation
• Highly collaborative style, willingness and demonstrated ability to work in teams, proven relationship-building skills
