Summary

Assistant Terminal Managers are responsible for assisting the Terminal Manager in all areas of a complex operation focused on safety, administration, maintenance, train performance and productivity. 

Assistant Terminal Managers are charged with developing and driving terminal strategies and solutions through people, systems, and process to continuously ensure excellence in safety, profitability, and service. Successful Assistant Terminal Managers are critical thinkers that possess strong analytical and communication skills and embrace a rapid-paced environment.

Requirements

• Assistant Terminal Manager Develops and drives existing staff to enhance Engagement & Retention within the Terminal Acts as key point of contact between Quantix and our customers 
• Enforces and upholds all Quantix rules, regulations, and policies 
• Approaches violations with care and administers disciplinary actions when required 
• Approves weekly time attendance and ensures data is accurate and timely 
• Partners with Talent Acquisition to ensure the Terminal is fully staffed Provides Terminal Metrics & Reports as needed 
• Coordinate and assist in terminal order scheduling and monitor load capacity 
• Provide coverage support for team members (sick or vacation) and knowledge of each job covered 
• Coverage of afterhours/on call responsibilities on rotation basis 
• Other duties as assigned (administrative & non-administrative)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years leadership experience Prior (5 years) intermodal, transportation, logistics or warehousing experience 
• Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills 
• Excellent communication skills are mandatory 
• Proficient in Outlook and MS Office suite of products Strong Work Ethic Open availability 
• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
