As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a talented and experienced Partner Engineering Director to join our team in the Americas.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced global Partner Engineering Director to lead our Partner Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving technical partnerships, managing a team of engineers, and ensuring successful enablement and support of strategic partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical cybersecurity background, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of enabling and nurturing pre-sales activities with channel partnerships in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive partner engineering strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
- Continued maturation and execution of global partner enablement program including role-based learning paths, partner specializations and certifications, partner portal, partner tools, playbooks, reference architectures, demo tools.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with strategic partners, including technology vendors, system integrators, service providers and cloud partners.
- Lead a team of partner engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support driving performance and professional growth.
- Help Partners build Joint Solution Architectures, increase adoption of the Qualys Platform, integrate 3rd-party systems and tools and develop Qualys services.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, sales, and other teams driving successful outcomes.
- Support technical discussions and customer requirements with partners aligning proper resources or sales activities.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to both internal and external stakeholders on partnership-related matters, providing insights and recommendations to drive mutual success.
- Serve as the main technical liaison / escalation point between partners and Qualys product management, engineering, support, subject matter experts.
- Act as the partner advocate for key technical issues. Monitor and improve partner satisfaction KPIs.
- Collaborate and drive execution with internal resources on back-office integration and operation of partner portal, program, SFDC or BizApps integration.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to identify new partnership opportunities and drive innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 7 years of experience in partner engineering, business development, or a related role, with a proven track record of building successful partnerships.
- Strong technical background with expertise in cybersecurity and SaaS technology solutions. Cloud computing, APIs, and other relevant technologies are a plus.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to influence and negotiate with external partners to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Experienced trainer with experience in creating enablement strategies, content, tools and delivery mechanisms, managing governance and outcomes.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving innovation and growth.
- Experience working in a global, fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business opportunities.
- Results-oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
