Quality Roasting Inc. is Hiring a Mill Operator - Nights Near Owen, WI

Position Summary:

You can take pride in operating equipment that produces high quality feed grade soybean meal in our Safe Feed/Safe Food Certified facility. As a self-motivated, safety-minded, reliable team member with a strong mechanical aptitude, you have the drive to learn and excel at monitoring, operating, and troubleshooting our milling process, testing product quality and loading/unloading bulk truckloads of soybeans and finished product.

Location: Owen, WI

Reports To: Mill Plant Manager

Work Schedule:

M-Th: 9 pm – 7 am, 4-10’s starting on Mondays at 9 am ending Fridays at 7 am

Salary:

  • $24.00/hour ($23.00/hour base pay plus $1.00/hour night premium)
  • $1.00/hour increase after six months, with successful performance

Essential Job Functions:

  • Monitor, operate and troubleshoot our milling process for feed grade soybean meal in a safe and efficient manner
  • Communicate any process problems that may occur to the fellow mill operators and participate in resolving these problems. If a problem cannot be resolved, make the necessary phone calls
  • Complete the necessary paperwork required in the record keeping of production
  • Maintain designated sanitary schedule to Quality Roasting standards
  • Test product quality
  • Load and unload bulk trucks, both tankers and hopper bottoms
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices based on our Feed Safety Programs
  • Perform other tasks, as assigned

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Good verbal and written communications
  • Desire to working in and contributing to a strong team environment
  • Reliable team member with a strong focus on quality and safety
  • Dependable and self-motivated
  • Valid driver's license

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to frequently bend, squat, climb, sit, stand, walk, handle objects, reach above shoulder level, use fine finger movements and push/pull, carry/lift light to heavy loads up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to occasionally kneel
