**Description**

**Essential Functions:**
* Generate and utilize service tracking and tracing reports to identify risk of service failures and implement countermeasures.
* Resolve rail service issues by communicating and working directly with Railroad customer service and operations teams
* Drive proactive load planning aimed at reducing the need for same day load recovery
* Trains and mentors team personnel using key metrics and other customer service indicators
* Manage performance of personnel with emphasis on new hire training
* Manage operationally efficient staff capable pf performing with expanding book business
* Utilize critical thinking and problem resolution to create solutions for repetitive service challenges
* Manage a review process to identify and implement continuous improvement solutions
* Manage the creation, entry and management of orders in the transportation management system(s)
* Ensure financial settlement of payables and receivables tied to orders
**Skill/Knowledge Requirements**
**Minimum education/experience necessary to perform the job:**
* Bachelors degree preferred in Business, Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain
* 2-3 years of Customer Service or Sales Experience
* Intermodal or other Rail experience preferred
* Proficient with managing spreadsheets in a Microsoft or Google sheet environment
* Excellent communication and problem resolution skills
* Microsoft Office skills (Excellent PowerPoint, Excel & Access skills)
* Excellent writing skills & verbal communication
