Quality Behavioral Health, a rapidly growing outpatient mental health and substance use facility is looking to hire a part-time (30 hours her week) Front Desk/Medical Assistant to work with our onsite Primary Care Physician, and our Tele-health Psychiatrist. We are located in the beautiful LC Valley and offer all employees a 10 hour day work schedule. This position would be Monday to Wednesday from 7:30am till 5:30pm, with a 30 minute paid lunch break and 2 additional 15 minute breaks.
Front Desk Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Initial contact with incoming patients
- Direct inquiries/requests for services and information on multi-line telephone and by direct contact.
- Enter client initial information in computer, obtains financial information (insurance, Medicaid, private pay, etc.); updates all demographic information as appropriate.
- Check all new and existing clients daily for current Washington State Medicaid coverage in Provider One.
- Reminder calls for clients that are scheduled for appointments as well as follow up calls for scheduling, etc.
- Take payments-cash, checks, or credit card received by mail or by client in person.
- General clerical duties utilizing PC and other standard office equipment
- Restock brochures in display areas, help maintain bulletin boards.
- Other duties as related to front office management etc.
- Keep supply closet stocked with basic supplies for staff as needed.
- Process medical records requests ensuring properly signed authorizations and document all transactions.
- Organizing and scanning documentation.
- Maintaining HIPAA regulations on all faxes and copies.
Medical Assistant Responsibilities are, but not limited to:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rate
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with medical procedures and treatments
- Monitor patients' condition and report any changes to the nursing staff
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
Skills:
- Basic life support (BLS) certification
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Proficiency in medication administration
- Ability to accurately measure and record vital signs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills and ability to follow instructions
This position does require that you drive to Pomeroy one day a week to serve our patients in Garfield County. Agency vehicles are available.
