- Repair and maintain equipment according to manuals, diagrams, etc.
- Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to determine defects
- Dismantle devices and remove defective elements
- Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
- Install special functional and structural devices
- Start devices to test performance
- Lubricate and clean parts
