We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Administrator to join our esteemed team in the Defense & Space industry.
As a Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our computer systems and networks.
From troubleshooting technical issues to implementing security measures, your expertise will be vital in guaranteeing the proper functioning and security of our infrastructure.
What you will be doing
- Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational norms.
- Job includes accepting direction from the technical lead on such tasks as managing user accounts, configuring and installing hardware and software, operating systems (PCs, servers, and workstations), troubleshooting network issues, performing backups, documenting configurations, and updating systems in a development lab environment. Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying scheduled job completion.

- Linux (Redhat/BASH/Python) scripting
- Cisco experience
Desired Skills
Must have a minimum of 6-10 years of experience in:
- Systems Administration/System Engineer certifications for Linux and Microsoft
- Redhawk experience
- Juniper Networks Hardware
- Allen-Bradley Hardware
- Industrial Controls
- Space Systems / Ground Support program experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar role within the Defense & Space industry.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
