Job Title: Senior System Administrator - Windows (22066)

Job Location: Huntsville, Alabama

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for administration of classified and unclassified systems and networks IAW applicable MDA and DoD guidance.
• Ensures IT systems and networks are fully functional for all operational and support activities.
• Provides technical expertise in relation to IT processes and operations based on applicable MDA and DoD security provisions, technical guidance, and documented instructions.
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining user accounts, profiles, privileges and overall network and system security. 
• Anticipates IT related issues and implements proactive preventive measures. 
• Develops, sustains, and updates documentation for Information Technology processes and procedures. 
• Performs regular and on-demand system backups and recoveries.
• Maintains IT databases and performs programming tasks in relation to system administration.
• Researches, evaluates, and recommends new and emerging IT systems technologies to advance and support MDDC Program requirements. 
• Leads, trains, and supports the work of other staff engaged in system and network administration functions.
• Provides technical leadership in the integration and testing of complex large-scale networks.

Requirements:

• Deep understanding of network administration tools, techniques, and methods.
• Proficient in Windows Operating Systems 2010 and Windows Server 2008 R2/2012R2/2016/2019
• Fundamental knowledge in networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP)
• Must be able to work with minimal oversight and possess abilities to communicate effectively through all levels within the organization working closely with project leads and other team members
• Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
• At least 11 years of relevant work experience.
• CompTIA Security certification
• Secret Clearance
