Responsibilities
Millennium Corporation is hiring for a System Administrator to support our growing workforce. Millennium is a rapidly growing mid-sized consulting company, specializing in providing cybersecurity services to the Federal Government.
In this role, the System Administrator will work with a team of 3 other IT professionals to deliver IT services to Millennium's nationwide workforce. Millennium's IT department solves a variety of challenges daily, from providing end user support (helpdesk) and asset management, to implementing automation workflows that connect business processes across a variety of cloud services, there are numerous opportunities to learn and grow.
This position includes a variety of responsibilites:
- Manage over 300 user endpoints and IT infrastructure and systems deployed across 40 states
- Assist with managing Microsoft 365 (M365) and Azure Active Directory (AD) environment
- Support A/V Systems and on-site events located in HSV Offices
- Monitor and maintain UniFi/Ubiquiti network infrastructure
- Manage VMware infrastructure and associated server VMs
- Perform scheduled server maintenance and maintain documentation for change control
- Develop and update IT documentation for IT team members and end users
- Assist with monitoring Veeam backups and resolving issues
- Respond to trouble tickets, providing user support locally and remotely
- Meet with external vendors on-site (Huntsville)
- Collaborate with Team to troubleshoot and resolve IT issues
- Support remote workforce with hardware maintenance including shipping/receiving of user assets.
Qualifications
- 5 years experience in a small/mid-sized business environment
- Experience in administration of Microsoft 365 environments
- Experience with Hybrid Azure Active Directory (EntraID)/Active Directory deployments
- Experience with Atlassian's Jira and Confluence products
Experience with Intune (Endpoint Manager) including AutoPilot
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (M365) and Azure Active Directory (EntraID) (including SharePoint, and Teams)
Experience with Tenant migrations
Experience with UniFi or Ubiquiti products
Experience with VMware infrastructure
Familiarity with Palo Alto or similar firewalls
Strong organizational and communication skills
- Scripting or automation experience is strongly desired
Business Development
Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.
Physical Requirements
- Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.
Travel Requirements
This position may require travel to other Millennium offices based on individual project requirements. Travel is estimated at less than 10%.
