Job Summary:
The Production Scheduler will report to the Materials Manager and be a member of the Farmington Production Materials Team that is expected to drive world-class performance in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and environmental metrics. The position performs planning and scheduling functions related to specific zones on the floor and works with the Zone Supervisor to achieve that schedule.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to…
  • Lead by example relative to Our Shared Values - Safety, Quality, Integrity, Attitude, Accountability and Teamwork.
  • Ensure accuracy of Zone Production Schedule
  • Ensure Zone Production Schedule is aligned to customer forecasts and releases
  • Assist in the development of overall capacity analysis, communicating with team and customers as necessary
  • Ensure Personal Performance Results are continually improved
  • Assis on Continual Improvement Projects in department and throughout the Plant
  • Possess the ability to act as a liaison between materials, purchasing and supervision to ensure schedule is understood, supported, and adhered to
  • Collaborate with Master Scheduler on forecasting models
  • Interact with Management to assist in executing overall production strategy
  • Aid Inventory Team in correcting errors and guide on proper corrections
  • Participate in new program launches, stay informed to schedule machine trials as necessary with minimal impact to the production schedule
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required. May consider five (5) years of directly relevant work experience in lieu of Bachelor Degree.
  • Minimum two (2) years experience directly managing supply chain processes in an automotive manufacturing plant.
  • Must have solid understanding of Supply Chain processes and demonstrated success with improving processes
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours to accommodate manufacturing processes, including weekend work hours and rotation within the team.
  • Must have strong trouble shooting and analytical skills
  • ERP experience (Visual or other similar system) preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
