QinetiQ US is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) intern to join our team. In this role, you will gain exposure to the development and implementation elements of our overall safety and/or environmental management systems that satisfy both internal and external requirements. We will expose you to the evaluation of trends, root cause analysis, the development/implementation of basic safety/ergonomics/EHS/environmental programs, departmental safety meetings, compliance activities, and corporate responsibility activities. Interaction with all levels of employees from production workers to top location and business leadership will be a standard part of your experience.

Support daily EHS functions including safety inspections
• Participate in continuous improvement exercises to mature QUS & Site safety processes
• Update procedures, work instructions and forms to improve business processes
• Learn EHS tools & applications to facilitate & update documentation
• Manage & deploys improvement actions to ensure year-end goal achievement
• Develop or enhance KPIs to monitor EHS performance & processes
• Deploy improved visual management dashboards for each sites safety "journey"
• Enagage in forward planning execution

• Must be currently pursuing a 4-year degree or greater focusing in EH&S, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental Sciences.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously across numerous departments
• Basic understanding of General Industry OSHA standards
• Basic knowledge of EPA and DOT regulations a plus
• Demonstrated planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proven analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Automate and Power BI a strong plus
• Familiarity with ISO standards a plus
