Puyallup Tribal Enterprises is Hiring a Lead Inventory Associate Near Tacoma, WA

POSITION SUMMARY:

Puyallup Tribal Enterprises (PTE) is looking for a Lead Inventory Associate to work in our retail stores. Our Inventory Lead is responsible for monitoring, auditing, stocking, shipping, and reporting on retail store inventory, and all related inventory processes. They work closely with Store personnel and they ensure that all of our inventory tracking, auditing, and reporting processes are followed consistently and precisely. They perform various data entry functions to count, verify, audit, monitor, and maintain our retail store inventories, including regular cycle counts. This position also processes store receiving, stocks assigned product, fulfills customer orders, and manages site transfers. 

PTE is focused on leveraging our existing assets to generate above-market returns for the Puyallup Tribe and our strategic partners. We are looking for highly motivated professionals with proven technical, strategic, and analytical skills to help grow and diversify our business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Excellent attendance
  • Processes daily receiving, biweekly processing of site transfers, and weekly customer order fulfillment
  • Provides accurate weekly inventory level reporting and maintains well organized back stock areas, including strict monitoring of secure storage areas
  • Keeps assigned retail areas accurately stocked
  • Monitors and promptly responds to supply chain emails from internal customers and team members
  • Process waste according to schedule
  • Assist store personnel and Supply Chain Team with maintaining and monitoring accurate store inventory, cycle counts, related inventory processes, and control documentation; promptly report any inventory discrepancies
  • Provide training to store personnel on inventory control systems, processes, software, and equipment
  • Identify opportunities for improvements, identify potential areas of risk, and share information with key stakeholders to maximize results throughout PTE
  • Use all company resources efficiently to promote maximum financial results for PTE; maintain PTE equipment and assets to maximize return on investment
  • Establish and maintain effective business relationships and with all employees, customers, vendors, business partners, government/regulatory entities, and communities in which we operate
  • Strictly follow workplace safety measures; safeguard the welfare of all employees, guests, visitors, and business partners at all times; promptly report workplace risks, incidents, injuries, and near misses 
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all sensitive and proprietary business information and safeguard PTE assets at all times

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, reliable transportation, and current proof of insurance
  • 21 years or older
  • 2 years retail experience
  • 1 year inventory experience
  • Ability to problem solve, effectively multi-task, and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines
  • Ability to record, analyze, reconcile, and interpret business data; and enter data into business computer systems
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills in English
  • Good PC and MS Office skills
  • Ability to work all standard office and retail store equipment
  • Good interpersonal skills; able to build and maintain effective business relationships
  • Culturally sensitive and works well with the full diversity of our company and community
  • Uncompromising integrity and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Ability to occasionally work non-standard hours to accommodate business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to pass Background Check

Preferred

  • Retail supervisory experience
  • 2 years inventory experience
  • Knowledge of SSCS or other inventory software systems
