We are looking for a skilled Accounts Receivable Clerk to provide financial, administrative and clerical services. This position is responsible for setting up new customer accounts, maintaining accounts, and performing various credit, collections, and accounts receivable functions. This person is also responsible for assisting with other general office functions as needed such as assisting the receptionist with operator phone duties, maintaining the office supply area, filing paperwork, billing, payables, etc.

Purity Cylinder Gases is an independent, family-owned, and operated gas and welding supply distributor with multiple locations throughout Michigan and Northern Indiana. We are known for providing excellent products and services since 1938.

Primary Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain customer accounts.
• Run credit checks for all locations.
• Contact customers to address collection and accounts receivable issues.
• Perform collection efforts persistently and professionally by contacting customers via phone, email, and letters.
• Post customer payments.
• Assist with receptionist/operator duties as part of the operator work group.
• Various other office functions as needed.

Skills & Abilities

• Excellent communication skills including ability to communicate clearly, quickly, and professionally, and handle stressful and/or difficult interactions.
• Excellent computer skills, including quick & accurate typing and 10-key skills, and proficiency in MS Office programs.
• Able to multi-task and handle interruptions while still completing work quickly & accurately.
• High degree of organization and attention to detail.
• Excellent phone skills
• Willingness to work as a team and help out with other office duties as needed to benefit the department.
• Highschool degree or better education.

This position includes a very competitive compensation package that includes a competitive hourly rate and a quarterly bonus program. Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
