Work with football student-athletes assigned to CAVE, including those with a diagnosed learning disability and/or ADHD. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with assigned student-athletes to assess individualized learning needs. Work individually with student-athletes on specific learning strategies and on enhancing academic skill development. Assist with the process of registering for and managing the use of academic accommodations with the Disability Resource Center. Design and implement sessions or workshops to address goal setting, time management, organization, study skills and self-advocacy skills. Work as a team member with the Academic Support Services staff to provide coordinated services for student-athletes ensuring the highest levels of customer service and availability. Assist with tutor/mentor skills training. Ensure goals and objectives are met with strict adherence to NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and University requirements.
