Pulse Clinical Alliance is Hiring a Medical Assistant - MA Near Minneapolis, MN
Job Details:
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Pay Rate: Up to $26/hr based on experience
- Shift: Days - 40hrs/weeks - 7:30 am-4:30 pm - Monday-Friday
- Experience: 1 year of experience in a patient-care setting
- MN MA license
- Previous Clinic Work - Highly preferred
- EKG Experience preferred
- EHR Experience preferred
- Blood Draw Experience preferred
- Medical Assistant Diploma Required, the diploma must be from a program that meets accreditation standards from either CAAHEP or ABHES
- BLS
- Skills checklist
- 2 Supervisory references with dates employed listed
A medical assistant is responsible for everything from administrative work to patient and physician support tasks at hospitals, doctor offices, medical clinics, and other facilities. They may help to get a patient's medical history information or to take their vital signs. The scope of their work will depend on the needs of the facility or practice.
- Perform clinical and clerical tasks to assist with the management of patient flow throughout clinic
- Standard rooming processes
- Giving medications as directed by provider (medications are minimal in cardiology and no immunizations/injections are given)
- Provide telephone support
- Facilitate communication between patients and providers
- Assist with medication refills
- Perform phlebotomy duties (training can be provided)
- Stocking supplies/rooms
- Perform EKGs
