Job Title: Production Supervisor
Job Description: A Production Supervisor will work for Good Foods to process and package eggs to the highest standard of quality while contributing to their specific task of achieving plant production targets. The job will mostly include the operation and maintenance of company assets. This will be executed by means of hard work, reliability and dedication to excellence.
Responsibilities include:
- Follows all Food Safety and Quality Procedures including but not limited to HACCP requirements, GMP, Food Defense and Food Security and escalated to through appropriate channels
- Supervise plant production lines and employees with an emphasis on teamwork, safety and excellence.
- Manage a team of 15-25 employees across multiple departments.
- Manage, evaluate and train staff by coaching, conduction performance reviews, administrative corrective action and hands on demonstration
- Monitor and correct all production related metrics including but not limited to yield, safety and productivity
- Identify issues related to quality, safety, downtime, productivity or any other unexpected issues.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Operate and maintain all power industrial trucks
- Maintain all inventories and report appropriately all production related metrics
- Coordinate receipt and shipment of all goods.
- Work toward continuous improvement of all processes
- Perform all product verification to ensure equipment is producing eggs to the highest quality
- Adjust equipment to operate in a manner maximizing throughput
- Create and disseminate end of shift reports.
- Communicate appropriately during shift handoff meetings.
- Ensure product and process quality through appropriate inspection and packing process.
- Maintain efficiency of production lines and follow safety protocols at all times
- Perform appropriate duties as assigned
- Cultivate a culture of mutual respect and demonstrates a customer-first mentality.
- BS/BA degree preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in high paced food manufacturing
- Experience leading a cross functional team preferred
- Ability to thrive in fast paced environment
- Ability to work in teams
