QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate Degree in Business or Accounting preferred
• Five years’ experience in Accounting preferred
• Five years’ successful experience coding expenditures in efinance preferred
• Five years’ experience working with fund accounting in efinance preferred
• Five years’ experience budgeting preferred
• Excellent Organizational Skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and in Google Suite (i.e. Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.) 

REPORTS TO: District Treasurer

JOB GOAL: To complete the detail and written work and to coordinate other matters essential to the efficiency and effectiveness of the District Treasurer.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assure that all coding is in accordance with the Arkansas Financial Accounting Handbook.
2. Review all Commissioner Memos related to coding.
3. Maintain all budget units in efinance to ensure that expenditures are allowable.
4. Advise all applicable database users of any code changes.
5. Assist Budget Managers as needed.
6. Provide support to the Secretary to District Treasure/IT Director as needed.
7. Assist Payroll Clerk as needed to ensure payroll is accurate.
8. Pull exception reports and work with the budget manager to ensure exceptions are cleared expeditiously.
9. Review exceptions and communicate the necessary changes.
10. Assist with State and Federal reporting requirements.
11. Review requisitions for coding accuracy.
12. Other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Salary Range: Range 9 - Support Staff Hourly Salary Schedule ($14.01/hour - $25.43/hour depending on relevant experience)

Length of Contract: 244 contract days

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Personnel Status: Classified

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Staff Personnel.
