Public School Restaurant and Bar is Hiring a Prep cook Near Culver, CA

We are looking for experienced, energetic, and hospitality focused team members to join our team!

Job Responsibilities :

  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Focus on correct food portioning, plating, and garnishes
  • Maintain a clean workspace, and adhere to all safety protocols to be health department ready
  • Follow all kitchen safety protocols including using a cut glove, slicer safety, safe lifting, etc.
  • Assist with cleaning and organizing the kitchen and all kitchen equipment
  • Helping to unload and organize food delivery orders
  • Communicating with your kitchen manager regarding par levels and needs.
  • Maintain a positive, professional teamwork approach with your fellow team members both HOH and FOH

Job Requirements :

  • Must have an open availability including weekends and holidays
  • Minimum of 2 years cooking in a full-service restaurant
  • Strong multi-tasking ability, with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Positive and Professional Attitude
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must present a Food Handlers card within 30 days of hire
  • Must be comfortable with repetitive movements such a slicing and dicing food items
  • Must be able to walk, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, and twist for 4-12 hours / day
  • Must be able to push, pull, or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
