Territory: The candidate will ideally be located in Texas covering, Dallas, Austin, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Alternative home locations will be seriously considered for the right candidate.
Outside Sales Regional Manager, covering Electrical and Industrial Distribution, OEMs (end users and channels, Electrical Contractors, and Engineering/EPC companies. In this role and as part of the West Regional team, the successful candidate will work alongside a premier wire and cable Agent to support and develop brand recognition and identify growth opportunities for the Trade & Installers Division. This position requires significant end-user demand creation to create a pull-through effect for our distribution channel partners.
- Identify current and future project opportunities and gain approval for Prysmian Group wire and cable products within the territory, primarily in the Trade & Installers portfolio by working face-to-face with electrical contractors, EPCs, Engineering companies, end users, and distribution.
- Develop and support primary relationships with our customers (Electrical/Industrial Distributors and OEMs) and maintain an ethical and professional relationship with all customers and external contacts.
- Develop and maintain customer programs, suggested pricing levels, co-op advertising programs.
- Support and collaborate with industry buying group members (AD and IMARK) to develop and execute mutually defined annual strategies for growth.
- Fully communicate and coordinate our customers’ needs and concerns
- Work closely with inside sales teams both internal and external (Agent) in support of providing a world-class customer experience.
- Develop and maintain customer programs, suggested pricing levels, co-op advertising programs.
- Coordinate and conduct product training events with Distributors, Contractors, Engineers, End Users & OEMs with the support of the Prysmian Engineering group.
- Collaborate with product market managers, including pricing decisions, product introduction, and inventory decisions
- Provide insight into current market conditions to determine the optimum commercial and service approach
- Coordinate customer needs with the appropriate internal departments, such as credit, manufacturing, engineering, etc.
- Identify and support opportunities for cross-selling at T&I customers between Prysmian groups.
- Participate in regional trade shows as needed
- Generate market intelligence as needed
- Assist in the development of sales, and strategic plans
- Utilize our CRM software, Salesforce, to maintain a project pipeline and develop strategic accounts.
Skills/Requirements
- BA/BS
- Valid driver’s license
- Can demonstrate a successful history of meeting or exceeding goals consistently
- Has successfully used an active project/sales pipeline tool (Salesforce or a similar Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) software) for the purposes of territory management
- Face-to-face customer meetings 3-4 days a week
- Overnight travel is expected to range between 4-6 nights a month
- A working knowledge of Industrial and Commercial wire and cable products (product training will be provided)
- A knowledge of Oil & Gas Project Business a plus
