This is a contracted position through Proxy Healthcare at a facility with a primary patient population of long term acutely ill patients. Experience with Critical Drips, Ventilators, Trachs, and Wound Care is preferred.

ACLS and BLS are a must have for this position.

Proxy Healthcare is a nurse-owned staffing agency started in 2019 with the goal to improve nurse pay and assist facilities in times of staffing shortages. Our goal is to fill those facilities with next-level nurses, respiratory therapists, and nursing assistants so that new staff can be hired, trained, retained. In this way, we look to help staffing shortages stay temporary. Joint Commission accreditation was achieved in 2022.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice
• Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate them to physicians
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
• Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and fill in patients’ charts
• Administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s order
• Work efficiently and professionally as part of a Code Team
• Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families

• Proven experience as a registered nurse
• Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
• Excellent knowledge of emergency care
• Excellent knowledge of tracheostomy care and management
• A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
• Valid nursing license

Pay: $58.00 - $60.00 per hour
