Job Title: Workday Advanced Compensation and Payroll Specialist

Job Status: Full-time contract from 03/25/2024 – 12/31/2024 with a possibility to extend services.

Position Summary:

Our client is looking for a Workday Advanced Compensation andPayroll Specialist to deliver expertise in Payroll Module within Workday. This role will be expected to support the planning, implementation, configuration, design, deployment, and testing of Workday Feature Releases, which occur twice annually. In addition, the resource will also help support operational tasks including providing backlog support and assistance with critical operational issues as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the planning, analysis, design and configuration of Workday Advanced Compensation systems on an enterprise-wide basis or across a major sector of the enterprise.
  • Collects, analyzes information requirements and analytically and systematically evaluates problems of workflows, organization, and planning, and develops appropriate corrective action for configuration.
  • Understand the client’s ERP architecture and how Workday integrates within the system
  • Assist with planning and executing regression testing for each Workday Feature Release
  • Assist as needed with Workday scrum teams
  • Support peer reviews on changes made by developers
  • Understand operational requirements and assist with providing support as needed with design, build, and test.
  • Provide insight to your functional area from your product and industry knowledge
  • Review implementation of defined processes for Workday, record findings and make recommendations for changes to those processes, as needed.
  • Review the operational defects or errors and provide scrum team support for remediation
  • Support transition to automated testing solution once identified Contractor shall deliver, but not limited to, the following:
  • Thoroughly assess all existing Workday configuration and artifacts. Document findings and recommendations to scrum and QA team
  • Provide recommendations, develop action plans, and help implement capabilities to improve Workday Feature Release management
  • Provide assessment and impact analysis of Workday feature releases relevant to Board’s configuration
  • Support for operational issues and enhancements to Workday

Required Qualifications:

  • US Citizen preferred, or Greed Card permitted
  • At least 7 Years experience in the following: implementing and configuring Workday solutions, designing, configuring, testing, and deploying business requirements across multiple Workday module(s)
  • Hands-on experience with Workday configurations
  • At least 7 years of experience with assessing, implementing, and testing Workday Feature Releases, enhancements, updates
  • Possess clear, concise, and effective verbal and written communication for test and change-related documentation
  • Work independently and meet deadlines for assigned tasks
  • Simultaneously works on several complex assignments, some requiring collaboration with external groups
  • Possess strong analytical and research skills
  • At least 7 years of enterprise resource planning (ERP), Workday HCM upgrade experience.
  • 7 years of industry knowledge in Payroll Administration
  • At least 4 years of enterprise resource planning (ERP), HCM and
  • Advanced Compensation implementation, and upgrade experience.
  • Must have led implementations specific to HCM, Core Compensation and/or Advanced Compensation.
  • Workday certified in HCM, Payroll and/or Advanced Compensation a plus.
  • Detailed understanding of ERP System concepts and general module functionality.
  • Experience with Workday Configuration including Advanced Compensation.
  • Knowledge and execution of Workday project management methodologies. Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.
