Providence Staffing is on the lookout for a seasoned Database Administrator to join our IT client's team. This unique position is earmarked by the government as critical, with the successful candidate being regarded as a Subject Matter Expert in database administration. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Data Organization: Efficiently organize and prepare data to be accessible and usable by data scientists and data analysts.

- Database Administration: Take charge of administering databases within a cloud computing framework, ensuring high performance and availability.

- Database Provisioning: Skillfully provision and manage database instances, ensuring they meet the project and operational requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications:

- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Lead Oracle DBA role, coupled with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in production Oracle DBA support.

- Cloud Database Management: At least 3 years of experience managing Oracle databases in Microsoft Azure Cloud within an Infrastructure as a Service (IAAS) environment.

- Technical Expertise: A strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), configuration management, and a solid grasp of DoD Security Standards and programming languages.

- Programming Knowledge: Proficiency in SQL (PLSQL) and Classic Active Server Pages (ASP).
