Schedule: 8 am - 4:30 pmOverview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our supply chain processes to ensure the efficient flow of goods from the point of origin to the final destination. The Logistics Specialist will collaborate with suppliers, transportation providers, and internal teams, to streamline operations and enhance overall logistics efficiency.Responsibilities:
- Supply Chain Management:
- Coordinate and manage the end-to-end supply chain process, from procurement to delivery.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and products.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Transportation Coordination:
- Plan and optimize transportation routes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
- Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to arrange shipments and track deliveries.
- Resolve any transportation-related issues and ensure compliance with transportation regulations.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of shipments, including bills of lading, customs documentation, and other relevant paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations governing the movement of goods.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, warehousing, and sales, to align logistics processes with overall business goals.
- Communicate effectively with external partners, including suppliers and logistics service providers, to build strong working relationships.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the logistics function.
- Implement best practices and stay abreast of industry trends to enhance overall logistics efficiency.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree is a plus
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Logistics Specialist or similar role
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, transportation, and logistics management.
- Proficient in using logistics and inventory management software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Well-developed motivational and leadership skills
