Description

The Cement Warehouse Assistant tracks the inflow and outflow of supplies related to cement field operations, drives to and from vendor locations to pick up or deliver parts, and assists in general inventory management for the Cement team.

• Help with the tracking of inflow and outflow of hoses and other supplies applicable to the cement operations
• Unload materials and compare received items to purchase orders to verify accuracy and quantity of shipment
• Communicate received purchase orders and disperse to the correct department if needed
• Ensure each asset is charged to the correct crew or person for the finance department reports each month
• Inspect materials for damage/defects and reports issues or concerns to the appropriate leader
• Track material movements within the inventory system in a timely manner
• Add, remove, adjust, move, and locate inventory within the warehouse system and parts room
• Support technicians, mechanics, crews and others when needed
• Maintain the parts room by restocking shelves, ensuring items are in the correct location, cleaning, and identifying items that need attention
• Ensure the parts room inventory is organized and fully stocked
• Update all documents/trackers as items are received and notate any discrepancies
• Drive to various businesses and vendor locations to pick up and drop off parts
• Must have work phone on 24/7 for call outs
• Maintain compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies by attending required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience working a parts room and stocking inventory preferred
• Proficient working in Microsoft Office 365 applications, especially Excel preferred
• Proficient working with inventory software, especially Wasp preferred
• Maintaining a current valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required
• Clear communications skills, must be able to read, write, and follow directions in English
• Strong work ethic, reliable, and willing to uphold commitment to perform all duties
• Reliable, must be able to remain on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and be physically able to drive in inclement weather conditions
• Able to safely perform duties during 14 days on, 7 days off work schedule that will include days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Proficient in operating a forklift or willing to be trained
• Must physically be able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs throughout work shift
• Must be able to safely lift 50 LBS and 25 LBS overhead (i.e., water hose, iron, swing hammer)
• Must have knowledge of safe hand tool use
• Must be able to perform duties in all weather conditions including extreme heat or cold
