Job Overview:
We are looking for a meticulous and results-driven individual to fill the role of Manufacturing Accountant with a focus on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This position is instrumental in managing financial transactions related to the manufacturing process, including vendor payments and customer invoicing. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles, with specialized experience in accounts payable and receivable functions within a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable Management:
• Process invoices from vendors accurately and efficiently.
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices while maximizing early payment discounts.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment inquiries and issues.
• Accounts Receivable Management:
• Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address customer billing inquiries.
• Manage collections efforts to minimize outstanding receivables and improve cash flow.
• Financial Reporting and Analysis:
• Prepare monthly reconciliations of accounts payable and accounts receivable balances.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports related to payables and receivables.
• Analyze payables and receivables data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial analysis.
• Purchasing Support:
• Collaborate with purchasing team to ensure accurate recording of purchase transactions.
• Assist in evaluating vendor contracts and terms to optimize purchasing decisions.
• Monitor purchasing activities to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
• Compliance and Auditing:
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies related to payables and receivables.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as required.
• Implement measures to mitigate risks related to payables and receivables processes.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• 2 years of experience in accounting roles with a focus on accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with experience in payables and receivables modules.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, especially as they relate to payables and receivables.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
