A Patient Relations Specialist is essentially the Client Concierge of a medical practice and is thus expected to deliver a 5-star customer experience to every patient or client that he / she encounters.
You are the first interaction for our patients, and it is imperative that you make each patient feel welcomed, comfortable, and hopeful.
Patients should be greeted enthusiastically by phone and in person, and patient needs should be accommodated whenever possible.
The Patient Relations Specialist is also responsible for clinical administrative functions, such as answering phone calls, patient intake, registration, scheduling, demographics data entry, insurance verification, collecting payments, patient and authorization follow-up, and ensuring that patient insurance billing is both accurate and timely.
This person is a team player, leading the charge with exceptional customer service, a passion for personalized service, and a strong ability to learn new tasks quickly, including processes within the clinic and software navigation.
