Screenprint and Embroidery Production Manager
Job Summary:
The Screenprint and Embroidery Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the production operations of the screen print and embroidery department within a company. This role involves managing a team of production staff, coordinating production schedules, ensuring quality control, and optimizing efficiency to meet customer demands. The Production Manager will collaborate closely with other departments, such as sales, design, shipping/receiving and purchasing, to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of products.
Responsibilities:
Team Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise a team of screen printers, embroiderers, and production assistants.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring efficient use of resources and optimal production output.
Provide coaching, guidance, and performance evaluations to staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Schedule work shifts and manage employee attendance to maintain sufficient production capacity.
Production Planning and Coordination:
Collaborate with the sales and design departments to review and understand customer orders and specifications.
Develop production schedules and prioritize jobs based on order requirements, deadlines, and available resources.
Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and take corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery.

Monitor equipment performance and recommend upgrades or replacements to enhance productivity and quality.
Ensure proper handling and storage of screens, screens, ink, thread, and other production materials.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement efficiency-enhancing initiatives.
Streamline workflows, standardize procedures, and implement best practices.
Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and innovations in screen printing and embroidery techniques.
Requirements:
College degree preferred, High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or vocational training in screen printing or embroidery is a plus.
Proven experience in a production management role, preferably in the screen printing or embroidery industry.
In-depth knowledge of screen printing and embroidery processes, equipment, and materials.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a productive workforce.
