Job Description
PromoCentric, a regional leader in the promotional products industry, is looking for an experienced and motivated Director of Sales to build on the growth we’re experiencing in 2024. You’ll lead a growing, diverse team of 20 sales professionals to significantly accelerate our success.
The Sales Director is an important part of our Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Managing Director. You’ll be responsible for developing sales strategy, setting performance goals, and ensuring their achievement. You’ll leverage and improve all sales systems, processes, and operations, including compensation structure.
A strong understanding of sales, including prospecting, pipeline management, building relationships, solution development, and negotiation is of course required. We’re looking for an innovative leader who will grow our business development capability through recruitment, inspiration, accountability, impactful processes, and effective account management.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and lead market penetration and business development efforts to achieve growth and profitability targets.
  • Leverage our in-house capabilities for maximum client impact, including webstores, inventory management, kitting/fulfillment, and a full suite of onsite decorating services.
  • Demonstrate superior business development skills and coach the team to emulate your standard of excellence.
  • Foster deep, lasting, and value-driven relationships with targeted clients.
  • Set the tone for cross-department collaboration and strengthen our Customer Centric mindset across the company.
Competencies
  • Success as an Account Executive, preferably (but not required) in the promotional products industry.
  • Knowledge of market research, brand building, sales, and negotiation principles and practices.
  • Robust leadership skills and the ability to motivate a sales team.
  • Talent at developing innovative go-to-market strategies.
  • Ability to remain cool under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, friendly, polite interaction with Account Managers, Suppliers, and Clients.
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and the ability to build relationships.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office.

Desired Skills and Experience:
  • BS or BA degree, preferably in business or related concentrations.
  • Proven experience with new business development activities.
  • 5 years of sales management experience.
